Retail Products: Extra Income Behind the Chair
Every client leaves your chair wanting the cut to look as good at home as it does now. Recommending the right products helps them do that, and adds income to every visit.
Recommend, do not push
Selling feels uncomfortable when it is about you. It feels natural when it is about the client. While you style, explain what you are using and why it suits their hair. Most clients are glad to learn.
Keep a small, focused range
You do not need a wall of products. Pick a few you trust and use daily: a styling product, a shampoo, a beard product. Know each one well.
Let them try it
Put the product in the client's hands. Let them feel the texture and smell it. A short demonstration sells better than any display.
Track your stock
Products tie up money. Keep a simple count, reorder what sells and stop reordering what does not. Check expiry dates.
Make it part of the service
Mention home care at the end of every visit: to keep this looking right, use a little of this each morning. When the recommendation is part of the service, sales follow.
